Fertility Challenges & Infertility Support
Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine & Care Coordination for Unexplained Infertility, Irregular Cycles, Low Ovarian Reserve & Longer Fertility Journeys

When conception is taking longer than expected, the most useful next step is usually a clearer picture. At ECHO, care starts by reviewing what’s been tested, what hasn’t, and which factors on the egg, sperm, cycle, and uterine side are still worth addressing. From there, acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine target what can be improved, and we refer you to the right provider for what needs a closer look. This applies whether you’re trying without assisted reproduction, working up to IUI or IVF, or between cycles.

Start With the Full Picture

Many people with “unexplained” infertility have had a partial workup. At your first visit, we go through your history, cycles, and any labs, imaging, and semen analyses you have. We look for gaps, such as ovulation that was never confirmed, thyroid, iron, or blood sugar markers that were skipped, or a partner who hasn’t been evaluated. Where something needs follow-up, we help you take it to your physician or a specialist and know what to ask. When it’s the right time for IUI or IVF, we help you get there prepared, and support you through it.

What We Support

-
Unexplained infertility: when standard testing hasn’t found a clear cause, or the workup is incomplete
-
Ovulation and cycle concerns: irregular or absent ovulation, short luteal phase, spotting, PCOS/PMOS
-
Endometriosis and adenomyosis: inflammation, pain, and cycle quality, alongside gynecologic care
-
Diminished ovarian reserve and age-related changes: supporting egg quality over the full development window
-
Male factor: sperm count, motility, and morphology, alongside partner care
-
Recurrent pregnancy loss: evaluation-focused support, including helping you confirm with your physician that the right testing has been done, alongside care aimed at the factors that can be addressed
-
Between ART cycles: recovery and preparation for the next attempt
-
Fertility care without ART: for those trying without assisted reproduction or not yet ready for it

How East Asian Medicine Fits
Fertility care at ECHO draws on several tools, chosen around your cycle, history, and any medical treatment you’re in.
-
Acupuncture influences the hormonal signaling that governs ovulation and cycle timing, improves blood flow to the pelvic organs, and lowers stress-driven physiological load.
-
Chinese herbal medicine provides day-to-day support between sessions. Formulas are prescribed to your cycle phase and pattern, such as cycle regulation, ovulation, luteal support, or inflammation, and are screened against your medications and any fertility drugs.
-
Targeted supplementation fills gaps identified in your history and labs, using professional-grade products.
-
Moxibustion and cupping, when appropriate, add warmth, circulation, and tension release, including at-home options where that makes sense.
-
Cycle and lifestyle guidance covers timing, tracking, digestion, sleep, and stress, so what happens between visits supports the work done in them.
All of it is coordinated with your physician and fertility clinic’s plan, not layered on top of it.

What to Expect
Your first visit covers your fertility history, cycle pattern, available lab work and imaging, and your broader health picture. Care is individualized: the plan for unexplained infertility with regular cycles looks different from the plan for PCOS, endometriosis, or low ovarian reserve.

Egg and sperm development each take about three months, so we generally plan for at least that long, and longer for more established concerns. Treatment is typically weekly, adjusted to your cycle and any medical treatment you’re in. Outcomes can’t be guaranteed, but you’ll know what’s been checked, what’s being addressed, and what comes next.
