Health Consults

Individualized care for health, hormonal, digestive, and nervous system concerns — with or without acupuncture

There’s a lot of health information available right now: supplements, protocols, influencer advice, functional medicine frameworks, lab interpretation guides. Some of it is useful. Much of it isn’t, and sorting through it without clinical training is genuinely difficult.

This service is for people who want a clinician to help them think clearly about what their body actually needs. It draws on East Asian Medicine, clinical herbal prescribing, and nutritional science, along with the kind of careful, thorough assessment that doesn’t fit into a standard medical appointment. Tools are chosen based on what your presentation calls for, whether that’s herbal medicine, nutraceuticals, acupuncture, or lifestyle guidance, and not by defaulting to any single one.

This is individualized care, not a one-size-fits-all supplement protocol, a biohacking framework, or a wellness optimization plan. The goal is to understand what’s actually happening in your body and address it with precision, not to add more products to an already crowded routine. For many people, part of the value is figuring out what to stop doing as much as what to start.

It’s also collaborative. Where useful, care is coordinated with your primary care provider, specialists, or other practitioners already involved in your case, sharing relevant findings, flagging interactions, and making sure the overall plan is coherent rather than working in isolation from the rest of your care.

What a health consult includes

Clinical herbal prescribing

Where indicated, herbal formulas are individualized to your presentation, adjusted over time, and screened for herb-drug interactions. For a fuller explanation of how herbal medicine works at ECHO, see the herbal medicine page linked below.

Nutraceutical and supplement guidance

When supplementation is relevant (vitamins, minerals, or specific micronutrients), recommendations are sourced through Fullscript for quality and dosing transparency. Depending on your presentation, that may mean one targeted recommendation or a more structured protocol. Either way, specific products are recommended by name, dosed for your case, and revisited as things change, not given as a generic starting stack.

Health information and protocol review

If you’ve been piecing together a protocol from multiple sources, including practitioners, online resources, or your own research, this is a chance to review it with a clinician and make sure it’s coherent, appropriate for you, and not creating interactions or gaps.

Collaborative care coordination

This service is built to complement the care you already have, not replace it: reviewing your history, coordinating on relevant findings, and making sure recommendations fit alongside your existing treatment and medications.

Lifestyle recommendations

When relevant, guidance around diet, sleep, stress, and movement, always specific to your situation and realistic to sustain.

What health consults address

  • Digestive function: motility, inflammation, regularity, and the underlying pattern driving symptoms

  • Hormonal health: cycle irregularity, perimenopause, and the drivers of hormonal dysregulation

  • Sleep and nervous system resilience: rebuilding the capacity to rest, regulate, and recover

  • Immune function: baseline immunity, reactivity, and post-viral recovery

  • Energy and vitality: addressing the root of chronic fatigue and burnout
