Understanding Your Care Options at ECHO

A Guide to Our Service Tiers — What Each Includes, What It Costs, and How to Choose

ECHO offers two distinct levels of care — Wellness Acupuncture and Comprehensive East Asian Medicine — along with several standalone and add-on services. Knowing which option fits your situation helps you get the most out of your care from the start.

Not sure where to begin? This page explains the difference. You're also welcome to email us and we'll help you find the right starting point.

Care Tiers

WELLNESS ACUPUNCTURE

$65-$80

Acupuncture Only
No Herbal Medicine
Not Covered by Insurance
Packages Available

A focused, restorative acupuncture session — simpler by design, and the right level of care for mild, general, or maintenance concerns. No extended intake, no herbal prescribing, no electroacupuncture.

A good fit if you are:

  • Managing everyday stress, tension, or nervous system overload

  • Dealing with a mild concern — a nagging shoulder, low-grade fatigue, mild sleep disruption

  • Seeking regular maintenance care for general well-being

  • New to acupuncture and looking for an accessible starting point

  • Supporting yourself through caregiving, a life transition, or a difficult season

  • Receiving care elsewhere and wanting gentle supportive acupuncture alongside it

Packages are available for wellness acupuncture — a convenient option if you come in regularly or simply want sessions on hand.

COMPREHENSIVE EAST ASIAN MEDICINE

$100-$200

Acupuncture + Herbal Medicine
Insurance Billable When Applicable
Electroacupuncture Available
No Packages

Full clinical care — extended intake, multi-phase acupuncture treatment, herbal medicine consultation and management, electroacupuncture when appropriate, and clinical charting. This is the right level of care for more established, complex, or condition-specific concerns.

When clinically appropriate, care may also include guidance on western botanicals, supplements, vitamins, and nutraceuticals — integrated thoughtfully alongside acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.

Available through four pathways depending on your primary concern:

Care for Pain, Nerve & Injury Recovery  »  for acute and chronic pain, injury recovery, nerve conditions, workers' comp, and auto accidents

Care for Health, Mood & Functional Concerns  »  for digestive, immune, hormonal, mood, nervous system, and systemic health conditions

Fertility & Conception Care »  preconception, fertility challenges, IVF/IUI support, and male fertility

Pregnancy Care & Labor Preparation »  acupuncture, moxibustion, and herbal medicine through every trimester and into birth preparation

Add-On Services & Complementary Offerings

In addition to the two care tiers, we have other therapies available as standalone or add-on services.

Cupping is available as a standalone service or can be added to acupuncture sessions, whether as part of a clinical plan or simply by request. When billed through insurance, cupping may be covered as part of a medical acupuncture visit depending on your plan. For cupping, we have a package option available or you can book an individual cupping sessionLearn more about cupping »

Moxibustion (moxa) is offered as an add-on alongside acupuncture when clinically appropriate, particularly for certain circulation-related concerns. It is also available as a standalone session for breech presentation in pregnancy. Moxibustion is not billable to insurance. Learn more about moxa »

Scar therapy for post-surgical or injury-related scar tissue is available as an add-on to other acupuncture sessions or as a standalone session. It is not covered by insurance. Scar tissue typically responds best to a series of sessions spaced closely together — changes in tissue mobility, sensitivity, and texture accumulate over time rather than resolving in a single visit. For this reason, we offer a package option, or you can book an individual scar therapy sessionLearn more about scar therapy »

Herbal medicine is available as a standalone option for patients who are not receiving acupuncture. Patients in the Comprehensive care tier may also schedule herbal check-ins between acupuncture visits for formula adjustments and diagnostic reviews. Standalone herbal medicine consultations are not billable to insurance. Learn more about herbal medicine »
