Fertility Care in Gladstone, Oregon

From first workup to IUI and IVF, one practitioner helping you do everything worth doing

Fertility care at ECHO combines acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine with help getting the right evaluation. If you’ve been trying for a while, want to prepare before you start, or are heading into IUI or IVF, Dr. Ev helps you work out what’s been checked, what hasn’t, and what’s worth addressing next. She coordinates with your physicians and fertility clinic rather than replacing them.

Start with the full picture

Fertility is shaped by more than one factor, and the workup is often incomplete. At your first visit we review your history, cycles, and any testing you’ve already had, then identify gaps in the evaluation, on both the egg and sperm side. Where something warrants a closer look, we help you take it to the right provider and know what to ask.

Western assessment we review and coordinate, where relevant:

  • Cycle and ovulation patterns

  • Hormone and ovarian reserve labs

  • Thyroid, iron, vitamin D, and blood sugar markers

  • Ultrasound findings

  • Tubal and uterine evaluation

  • Semen analysis

East Asian Medicine assessment, in addition:

  • Detailed cycle history

  • Pulse and tongue findings

  • Digestion, sleep, stress, and temperature patterns

  • Pain and menstrual quality

Together these give a more complete read than either lens alone.

Everything worth trying before IUI or IVF

For many people, there’s more to address before assisted reproduction, and for some, assisted reproduction is still the right next step. Care here is individualized and may include acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, targeted supplementation, and guidance on timing, cycle tracking, and lifestyle factors. Because egg and sperm development take roughly three months, starting early gives treatment more time to matter.

Support through IUI and IVF

If you move into assisted reproduction, care adapts to your protocol: preparation before stimulation, support during medication cycles, transfer-day timing, and the wait afterward. We work around your clinic’s schedule and your doctor’s plan.

Fertility is a two-person (or donor, or solo) conversation

Male factor is involved in roughly half of difficult-conception cases, and sperm takes about 74 days to develop, so care runs at least three months. We care for patients of every body and family structure: couples, same-sex couples, donor conception, and solo parents.

How acupuncture and East Asian Medicine Fits

Fertility care at ECHO draws on several tools, chosen around your cycle, history, and any medical treatment you’re in.

  • Acupuncture influences the hormonal signaling that governs ovulation and cycle timing, improves blood flow to the pelvic organs, and lowers stress-driven physiological load.

  • Chinese herbal medicine provides day-to-day support between sessions. Formulas are prescribed to your cycle phase and pattern, such as cycle regulation, ovulation, luteal support, or inflammation, and are screened against your medications and any fertility drugs.

  • Targeted supplementation fills gaps identified in your history and labs, using professional-grade products.

  • Moxibustion and cupping, when appropriate, add warmth, circulation, and tension release, including at-home options where that makes sense.

  • Cycle and lifestyle guidance covers timing, tracking, digestion, sleep, and stress, so what happens between visits supports the work done in them.

All of it is coordinated with your physician and fertility clinic’s plan, not layered on top of it.

What we work with

  • Cycle & ovulation: irregular cycles, short luteal phase, spotting, PCOS, endometriosis, adenomyosis, fibroids

  • Egg-side concerns: diminished ovarian reserve, high FSH, unexplained infertility, prolonged time to conception

  • Male factor: low count, motility, morphology, varicocele

  • Assisted reproduction: IUI, IVF, frozen embryo transfer

  • Recurrent pregnancy loss: evaluation-focused support, including helping you confirm with your physician that the right testing has been done, alongside care aimed at the factors that can be addressed.
