Samaritan Health Plans TriWest and acupuncture referral for active-duty military or veterans UMR United Healthcare Oregon Health Plan (OHP) At ECHO, we accept most forms of OHP, with a few exceptions depending on your Coordinated Care Organization (CCO). You’re welcome to reach out to confirm whether we’re in network with your specific plan. Medicare & Medicare Advantage Medicare coverage at ECHO is limited to Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans — we do not accept traditional Medicare (Part B). Coverage varies by plan and condition. Using Insurance at ECHO If you plan to use insurance, please book your appointment at least 24 hours in advance so we have time to verify benefits. We can also check your coverage before booking. Many insurance plans cover acupuncture for pain-related conditions, or for nausea related to pregnancy or chemotherapy, but coverage varies widely. Some plans are limited to specific diagnoses, while others offer broader benefits. We’re happy to verify benefits as a courtesy once you’re booked, but we also recommend confirming coverage directly with your insurer. For OHP and TriWest, a referral from a primary care provider or specialist is required. Don’t see your plan listed? We’re continually expanding our insurance networks.
