Fertility Challenges & Infertility Support
Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine for Unexplained Infertility, Recurrent Pregnancy Loss & Longer Fertility Journeys
When conception is taking longer than expected — or when a diagnosis of infertility has arrived — the experience is unlike most health challenges. The monthly cycle of hope and disappointment. The isolation of carrying something so significant that is also so invisible. The particular exhaustion of a body that is doing everything right and still not getting there.
At ECHO, care for fertility challenges is offered with deep respect for where you actually are in this process — not where the timeline says you should be. Treatment is individualized, unhurried, and focused on supporting the body's underlying fertility — the hormonal environment, the uterine lining, the quality of ovulation, the stress physiology that shapes all of it — rather than simply adding acupuncture to a cycle and hoping for the best.

How Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine Help
Fertility is not a single event — it is the product of multiple systems working well together: hormonal regulation, ovarian function, uterine receptivity, immune balance, stress physiology, and overall vitality. When any of these are disrupted, conception becomes more difficult — and addressing only one tends to produce incomplete results.
Acupuncture supports fertility by regulating the hormonal cascade governing ovulation and cycle timing, improving blood flow to the ovaries and uterus, calming the stress response that suppresses reproductive hormones, and supporting the immune environment of the uterus. Herbal medicine addresses the deeper systemic patterns — supporting egg quality, hormonal production, and the constitutional vitality that underlies reproductive health — over the weeks and months between acupuncture sessions.
Treatment is designed to:
-
Support regular, quality ovulation and cycle regularity
-
Improve uterine blood flow and endometrial receptivity
-
Support egg quality over the full follicle development cycle
-
Regulate hormonal patterns — FSH, LH, progesterone, and estrogen balance
-
Reduce the stress physiology that suppresses reproductive function
-
Address immune factors contributing to recurrent pregnancy loss
-
Support the body's overall vitality and resilience through a long and demanding process
What to Expect
Your first session includes a full intake covering your fertility history, cycle pattern, relevant lab work, previous losses if applicable, and what else is happening in your health picture. Fertility care at ECHO is genuinely individualized — the approach for someone with unexplained infertility and regular cycles differs meaningfully from that for someone with PCOS, recurrent loss, or diminished ovarian reserve.
A minimum of three months of consistent care allows a full egg development cycle to complete — which is when the most meaningful improvements in egg quality and hormonal regulation become visible. Many people commit to six months or longer when the fertility challenge is more established. Herbal medicine between sessions is what provides the continuous daily support that produces the most significant cumulative change.
This is not a process with a guaranteed outcome. But it is care that takes your fertility seriously, works with the whole of your body, and supports you — not just the cycle — through whatever comes next.
