Care for Complex Conditions and Functional Health Patterns
These sessions support the deeper foundations of your health—addressing patterns beneath symptoms, whether they are clearly diagnosed, longstanding, or difficult to untangle. Care meets your body where it is and works to restore the conditions that allow balance, vitality, and resilience to return.
This work is well-suited for digestive concerns, sleep issues, mood changes, immune and inflammatory conditions, hormonal shifts, and layered or overlapping health concerns that affect how you feel day to day. Rather than isolating symptoms, we look at how systems interact—circulation, digestion, hormonal rhythms, nervous system regulation, and recovery capacity—to support steadier, more sustainable healing.
Fertility, Pregnancy, and Care through Hormonal Cycles
Tending the Terrain also provides dedicated support for the full spectrum of women’s health, including fertility, preparation for conception, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and care through hormonal transitions such as perimenopause and menopause.
Pregnancy care is gentle and responsive, addressing common concerns such as nausea, pain, sleep changes, fatigue, and emotional strain, while supporting circulation, comfort, and overall nervous system stability. Fertility care may stand on its own or complement other medical or integrative approaches, with an emphasis on preparing the body and supporting its natural rhythms.
An East Asian Medicine Approach
Each session is guided by the principles of East Asian Medicine, using acupuncture, herbal medicine, and other supportive methods to work with the body as an interconnected whole. Rather than focusing on isolated symptoms, care is oriented toward restoring internal coherence—supporting regulation, resilience, and the body’s natural capacity to adapt and heal over time.
Structured Phases of Care
For hormonal, immune, inflammatory, and other systemic concerns, meaningful change rarely happens in a single visit. Treatment is most effective when done consistently at first, allowing patterns to shift gradually and the body to regain stability.
Most patients begin with a focused 8-week phase of weekly care, often combined with customized herbal medicine to support progress between visits. This structured start allows us to build momentum, clarify how your system responds, and make thoughtful adjustments over time.
An all-inclusive 8-week plan is available to support this initial phase of care.
