Auricular Acupuncture (Ear Acupuncture)
Auricular Acupuncture for Calming & Recovery
A focused way to quiet the system, ease pain, and support change—using precise points on the ear.
Not every shift requires a lot of sensation. Auricular acupuncture works through small, strategic points on the ear to affect the whole system—especially the nervous system. In sessions at ECHO, ear points are used on their own or alongside body points to help reduce pain, soften stress reactivity, and support steadier sleep and mood.
This approach fits well for people who want a gentler experience or who feel most relief from calming, parasympathetic-leaning care.
What It Helps
Auricular acupuncture can support:
-
Stress & Overwhelm: settle the system, ease irritability, support emotional steadiness
-
Sleep: trouble falling asleep, frequent waking, light or unrefreshing sleep
-
Pain & Tension: headaches and migraines, neck/shoulder tension, jaw pain (TMJ), musculoskeletal pain
-
Nervous System Regulation: anxiety, restlessness, burnout, sensory load
-
Digestion & Nausea: queasiness (including pregnancy-related), stress-linked digestive flares
-
Recovery Support: gentle nervous-system and sleep support during addiction recovery, helping you feel more grounded and steady
How It Works
The ear contains a rich map of points that reflect the body’s systems. Stimulating these points influences the autonomic nervous system (the “rest-and-digest” response) and can modulate pain pathways. At ECHO, we use very fine, sterile single-use needles placed for a short period while you rest. Ear points are often paired with a few body points to reinforce calm and circulation.
